wilk

wilk moves through raydium, orca, meteora, and whatever else is listed, looking for one specific thing. a trading pair that exists as its own pool on more than one venue at the same time. a token paired against SOL on raydium and against SOL on orca, priced independently by two separate pools that have no reason to agree with each other. that is the target. not a single pool, not a single token, but the same pair sitting in two places that do not talk to each other.

each venue runs its own pool with its own reserves, and each pool sets its own price based only on what has traded through it. nothing forces raydium and orca to agree on what a token is worth. most of the time they drift close enough that it does not matter. sometimes they do not, and a pair briefly has two different prices depending on where you look. wilk exists to notice when that happens, nothing more.

it does not watch one pair and wait for it to move. that would mean picking a target in advance, which defeats the point. instead each cycle it draws a new batch of pools from across the ecosystem and checks which pairs happen to exist on more than one venue within that batch. most cycles find nothing worth reporting. the pools that do overlap almost never match exactly, one is a little ahead, one is a little behind, and the size of that gap is the only thing being measured.

every cycle gets written down, not only the interesting ones. a cycle that finds an overlapping pair is logged with both prices, the raw spread between them, the spread as a percentage, and whether that spread clears the cost of actually acting on it once fees and slippage are accounted for. a cycle that finds nothing is logged too. pools swept, no overlap found, nothing to report. a cycle that fails to read a pool, because of a timeout or missing data, is logged as a gap and left there. it is not quietly retried until it produces a cleaner result.

nothing in the record is ranked or filtered afterward. there is no list of best opportunities surfaced anywhere, no highlight reel built from the interesting entries. what exists is the raw sequence, in order, of what a continuous sweep across solana's dex landscape actually turns up. most of that sequence is unremarkable. that is not a flaw in the log. it is the log.
